Zee's Salon...a little piece of heaven here in Roanoke! Great staff! Great atmosphere! Great services! My daughter, who is pregnant (our first grandchild!!) and I went recently for a manicure/pedicure...what fun! They had us in these amazing chairs where we could relax and talk (mostly laugh!). We really felt pampered with 4 technicians taking care of us...and we left feeling and looking good! I've gone there for years...the experience is truly THE BEST. Friendly, professional staff who work hard at making sure your experience is memorable and fun! I recently saw an article in the Roanoke Times...the owner (Zee Ritter) and her staff did a complete makeover and SPA day for a recent graduate of Bethany Hall...The story tells you not only a lot about the salon, but a lot about the type of caring people that work there. Pictures in the newpaper showed before and after shots...the transformation was truly amazing! (Google Zee's Day SPA, Bethany Hall to see the story) Thanks Zee! This just confirmed that you're not only a great place to go for "pampering"...you're great people at heart as well!

I also chose this salon due to the advertising of it being one of Roanoke's best salons. The atmosphere is very nice, my stylist herself was very courteous, the salon owner, however, was pushy, brash and took over the whole process. My color turned out horrible (truly truly horrible) and the salon owner even made a couple snide remarks. I ended up paying $250.00 for a horrible job, being insulted, and pressure sales. I'm normally happy if you just get a decent color and cut, not too hard to please, but this was for a special event, and I was extremely disappointed. I will neither return, nor recommend this to any of my other discerning friends! In general, this place is a "rip-off". BTW- I overheard several stylists complain about the owner, and likely the good talent that is there, doesn't stay long due to being treated that way.

I first went to Zee's because I had a gift certificate and I had always wanted to try it out. I was extremely disappointed. HAIRCUT~*~ It was just "okay". Hairdresser like it stick straight so she flat ironed the heck out of it. (I like fullness and told her so. I guess she was more interested in the way she wanted it.) ~*~HIGHLIGHTS~*~ I loved my highlights by I cringed ever time I paid $125 plus tip! ~*~FACIAL~*~ ?? I was so expecting much more. I can rub lotion on my face. ~*~MANICURE~*~ Oh goodness, none of my callouses on my feet were filed off. My toenails looked nice, though. ~*~PEDICURE~*~ I was so embarrassed that I had to refile my fingernails - they were extremely square! I also had to clean out from under my nails, since they didn't do that at all after they were filed. ******I was overcharged by $20 one day and had to return across town to get it refunded to me after I discovered it. ~*~*~That's pretty much my experience so I won't be returning. I am still desperately looking for a good hairdresser. . .

I came here for a massage and the therapist was late starting and didn't give me my full session. The massage was horrible and the whole time she was trying to sell me other services since she also was a stylist. I can't see how they have won awards because it was just a horrible experience overall.
