With experience in a wide range of practice areas, Jim focuses his practice primarily in the following areas.


BUSINESS LAW. Jim represents clients in such business transactions as the purchase or sale of ongoing businesses, as well as the formation and structuring of appropriate business entities. In addition to giving business advice, Jim prepares all types of contracts and agreements used by businesses.


LITIGATION. Jim handles all types of business litigation and has represented a wide variety of clients from international businesses and institutions to small businesses and individuals. He handles creditors' rights matters in both state and federal courts and bankruptcy litigation on behalf of secured and unsecured creditors. Jim also handles personal injury cases with experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants.


MEDIATION. A trained mediator, Jim assists parties to reach a negotiated resolution of all types of disputes. He is also able to use his dispute resolution skills to negotiate favorable results for his clients.


WILLS AND ESTATES. Jim regularly assists clients with estate planning including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced medical directives.
